In February 2022, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released their revised guideline for prescribing opioids for pain management. The changes in the 12 statements in the guideline are summarized in this article by Cindy Steinberg, Massachusetts Pain Initiative Policy Council Chair and Director of Policy and Advocacy for the US Pain Foundation.
